We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His (angelic) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready". 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
