Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? 24 When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. 25 He went quietly to his wife and returned to his guests with a fat, roasted calf. 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 'Such, says your Lord' they replied: 'He is the Wise, the Knower' 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- 32 To send down upon them stones of baked clay. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 We found in it only one household of true believers -- 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. 45 Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. 46
