The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Mount, 1 and the Book inscribed 2 In parchment unrolled. 3 by the much-frequented House, 4 and the uplifted roof 5 And [by] the sea filled [with fire], 6 verily your Lord's chastisement shall come to pass, 7 There is none can avert it;- 8 Upon the Day when the heaven spins dizzily 9 and the mountains will move with [an awesome] movement. 10 woe that day unto those that cry lies, 11 Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves. 12 on the Day when they shall be thrust into the fire with [an irresistible] thrust, [and will be told:] 13 This is the fire which you used to give the lie to. 14 "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? 15 Now enter it. Whether you behave patiently or impatiently will make no difference: you are only being repaid for what you have done. 16 Surely the godfearing shall be in gardens and bliss, 17 Rejoicing at what their Lord has given them; and their Lord will preserve them from the torment of Hell. 18 (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do, 19 They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Houris (female, fair ones) with wide lovely eyes. 20 Those who believe, and whose descendants follow in belief, We will join their descendants to them. And We will not reduce them of anything of their deeds. Every one is pledged for what he has earned. 21 And We aided them with fruit and meat, whatever they desire. 22 They shall pass on to one another a cup that will incite neither levity nor sin. 23 ۞ And round them shall go boys of theirs as if they were hidden pearls. 24 And some of them draw near to others, questioning. 25 They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people. 26 But God has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of scorching wind. 27 Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful. 28

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
