Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say thou: wait verily I am, with you, among the waiters. 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them produce a scripture like it, if what they say is true. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
