Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
