▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- 46 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 49 In [each of] these two [gardens] two springs will flow. 50 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 51 In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds. 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 55 In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- 56 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 59 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness? 60 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 61 Besides this, there will be two other gardens. 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Dark green (in colour). 64 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 65 In the Gardens are two springs, overflowing with abundance. 66 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 67 In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates. 68 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 [There the blest will live with their] companions pure and modest, in pavilions [splendid] 72 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 73 untouched by jinn or mankind before. 74 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 75 Reclining on green cushions and fine carpets. 76 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Honor! 78
True are the words of God the Almighty.
