Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
