The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O THOU [in thy solitude] enfolded! 1 Arise and warn 2 And your Lord glorify 3 And thine raiment purify. 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 And show not favour, seeking wordly gain! 6 But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant! 7 When the Trumpet shall be sounded, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave to Me the one, whom I have created all by Myself, 11 And for whom I appointed wealth extended. 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 Yet he desireth that I should give more. 15 Nay! Verily, he has been stubborn and opposing Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). 16 I shall oblige him to (climb a slippery mountain in the Hell-fire called As-Sa'ud, or to) face a severe torment! 17 For he thought and he plotted;- 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 Then he looked round; 21 then frowned and scowled; 22 then he retreated and waxed proud, 23 Then he said: naught is this but magic from of old; 24 This is not but the word of a human being." 25 I will cast him into hell. 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 It spares not, neither leaves alone 28 making [all truth] visible to mortal man. 29 and it has nineteen angelic keepers. 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
