Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
