Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
