Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
