In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
