Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
