Are you more difficult to create, or is the heaven that He constructed? 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 and making its night dark and bringing forth its morning light, 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And solidified the mountains. 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 AND SO, when the great overwhelming event [of resurrection] comes to pass 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who waxed exorbitant, 37 And preferred the life of the world, 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask you about the hour, when it will come. 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. 46
