Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And the earth He extended after that; 30 therefrom brought forth its waters and its pastures, 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 Those who have rebelled 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 But he who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained his self from vain desires, 40 Verily the Garden! that shall be his resort. 41 They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about the Hour, - when will be its appointed time? 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 With thy Lord is the Limit fixed therefore. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46
