He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and fearfully, 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 exalted and purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him; 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 and olives and palms, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
