The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and brightening morning, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
