Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
