Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
