The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
