The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
