Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
