The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and so am I: 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
