The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
