Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
