The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
