Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
