The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
