Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
