Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
