Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? 100 These towns-- We relate to you some of their stories, and certainly their apostles came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they rejected at first; thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the unbelievers 101 We found most of them untrue to their covenants, indeed We found most of them to be defiant. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 And Moses said: 'O Pharaoh! I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 At this Moses threw down his staff, and lo, it became a live serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders. 108
