AND, INDEED, We have created man out of sounding clay, out of dark-slime transmuted 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 He said: My Lord! Reprieve me till the day when they are raised. 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 "Till the predetermined time." 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 But not such of them as are Thy bondmen single-hearted. 40 He said: This is a right course incumbent upon Me: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 It has seven gates; for each gate is a portion assigned from them. 44

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
