So, when the envoys came to the folk of Lot, 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 “And we have brought to you a true command, and indeed we are truthful.” 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) – they are indeed straying in their intoxication. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
