Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 and We shall drive the guilty ones to Hell as a thirsty herd. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have uttered a grievous thing 89 Which would cleave the skies asunder, rend the earth, and split the mountains, 90 That they ascribe a son to the Beneficent Allah. 91 and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 Verily, He knows each one of them, and has counted them a full counting. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. 96 So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people. 97 How many generations have We laid low before them. Do you see any sign of them, or hear the least whisper of them? 98
