T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
