(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 (Moses) said: "Our Lord is He who gave everything its natural form and directed it." 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
