۞ Before this We gave Abraham his guidance. We knew him well. 51 When he said to his father and his people, “What are these idols before whom you squat (worshipping)?” 52 They said:"We found our fathers worshipping them." 53 He said: assuredly ye, ye and your fathers, have been in error manifest. 54 They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?" 55 He answered: "Nay, but your [true] Sustainer is the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth - He who has brought them into being: and I am one of those who bear witness to this [truth]!" 56 "And by Allah, I shall plot a plan (to destroy) your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs." 57 Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. 58 (When the people came to the temple and saw the broken idols) they asked each other, "Who has done this to our gods? He certainly is an unjust person". 59 They said: We heard a youth speak of them, who is called Ibrahim. 60 They said, “Therefore bring him in front of the people, perhaps they may testify.” 61 They said, 'So, art thou the man who did this unto our gods, Abraham?' 62 'No' he replied. 'It was their great one amongst them that did it. Ask them, if they are able to speak' 63 Then they turned to themselves and said: Surely you yourselves are the unjust; 64 Then their minds were turned upside down, and they said: "You know well that they do not speak." 65 He said: worship ye, then, beside Allah, that which profiteth you not at all, nor it hurteth you? 66 "Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allah! Have you then no sense?" 67 They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act." 68 We said, “O fire, become cool and peaceful upon Ibrahim.” 69 They sought to outwit him, but We made them the worst of losers. 70 for We saved him and Lot, [his brother's son, by guiding them] to the land which We have blessed for all times to come. 71 And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in superfluity, and every one made We righteous 72 We made them leaders who guided people by Our command. We revealed to them the doing of good, observance of prayer and the giving of alms and Us alone did they worship. 73 AND UNTO Lot, too, We vouchsafed sound judgment and knowledge [of right and wrong,] and saved him from that community which was given to deeds of abomination. [We destroyed those people - for,] verily, they were people lost in evil, depraved 74 And We caused him to enter into Our mercy; verily he was of the righteous. 75

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
