And said the leaders of his people, who disbelieved and denied the confronting of the Hereafter – and We had given them comfort in the worldly life – that, “He is nothing but a human like you, he eats from what you eat and drinks from what you drink.” 33 And if you obey a mortal like yourselves, then most surely you will be losers: 34 Does he promise you that when you are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, you will be brought forth to life? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which you are promised. 36 "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again! 37 He is naught but a man who has forged a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe in him. 38 He said: my Lord! vindicate for they belie me. 39 Allah said: after a little while they will become regretful. 40 Then the shout laid hold of them in truth, and We made them a refuse; so away with the wrong-doing people! 41 Thereafter, after them, We produced other generations; 42 No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it). 43 Then sent We Our Messengers successively; whenever its Messenger came to a nation they cried him lies, so We caused some of them to follow others, and We made them as but tales; so away with a people who do not believe! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 Unto Fir'awn and his chiefs, but they grew stiff-necked, and they were a people self-exalting. 46 They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" 47 So they denied them – therefore became of those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 And We made the son of Marium and his mother a sign, and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. 50
