O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These people hasten to perform goodness, and it is they who shall reach it first. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 “Priding yourself in serving the Sacred Mosque; at night you utter indecent stories in it, while discarding the truth.” 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask them for some wages? But the recompense of your Lord is better, and He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of [truly] severe suffering [in the life to come]: and then, lo! they will be broken in spirit. 77
