Al-Mu' minoon 5 of 6
And He it is Who brought forth for you hearing and sight and hearts, little thanks ye give! 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 They say exactly the same thing as the people who lived before. 81 "When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!" 83 Say: Unto Whom (belongeth) the earth and whosoever is therein, if ye have knowledge? 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say: "Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?" 86 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)? 87 Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge? 88 They will say, "All this belongs to God." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. 90 Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
