And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
