And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 when he said to his father and his people, 'What do you serve?' 70 They answered: "There are some idols that we worship and are devoted to them with constancy." 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 or do they cause you any benefit or harm?" 73 They replied, "But we found our fathers doing the same." 74 Said [Abraham]: "Have you, then, ever considered what it is that you have been worshipping 75 you and your forefathers of yore? 76 They are an enemy to me, except the Lord of all Being 77 Who hath created me, and He guideth me. 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 And when I am sick, then He restores me to health 80 And He Who shall cause me to die, and then shall quicken me. 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 Make me inherit the bountiful Paradise. 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 and disgrace me not on the Day when people will be raised to life, 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." 89 And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. 90 And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. 91 And it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to worship?” 92 besides God? Can they help you or even help themselves?" 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 And all the armies of Iblis. (Satan) 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 Now we have no intercessors 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” 102 Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe. 103 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
