The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
