And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
