And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn your near relations, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
