And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
