Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
