And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub the men of power and knowledge. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
