Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 (We said to him): 'Take a bundle of rushes and strike with it; and do not break your oath' We found him to be patient, a good worshiper and he was penitent. 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end, 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
