Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Say, “I am commanded that I must worship Allah as His sincere bondman.” (And so must you too.) 11 "And I am commanded (this) in order that I may be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (in Islam) as Muslims." 12 Say, "I am afraid that for disobeying my Lord I shall suffer the torment of the great day". 13 Say: Allah I worship, making my religion pure for Him (only). 14 So worship whatsoever ye will, besides him. Say thou: verily the losers are those who shall have lost themselves and their household on the Day of Judgment. Lo! that will be a loss manifest. 15 They shall have coverings of Fire, above them and covering (of Fire) beneath them; with this Allah does frighten His slaves: "O My slaves, therefore fear Me!" 16 (On the other hand), good tidings await those who eschew serving false gods and penitently return to Allah. (O Prophet), give good tidings to My servants, 17 (Muhammad), give the glad news to those of Our servants who listen to the words and only follow the best ones. Tell them that they are those whom God has guided. They are the people of understanding. 18 Is he on whom the word of doom is fulfilled (to be helped), and canst thou (O Muhammad) rescue him who is in the Fire? 19 As for those who fear their Lord, there await high mansions above which are built (more) high mansions, beneath which rivers flow, such is the promise of Allah; Allah will not fail His promise. 20 Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then makes it go along in the earth in springs, then brings forth therewith herbage of various colors, then it withers so that you see it becoming yellow, then He makes it a thing crushed and broken into pieces? Most surely there is a reminder in this for the men of understanding. 21
